Smoke on Fire...

Funny Language -- English

English .. English... Oh my dear universal language...

How much more beating would be taking.. Recently on my travel to Yelagiri, an hill station close to 200 Km from Chennai on the national highway to Bangalore, I happened to see this lovely board with a rate chart. Amazed at the governmental help to educate all...

The Crossroad..

This is some thing that I had jotted down a few weeks back...

I have been at a strange juncture of my life. A time where i had to choose between a career that has been well established for the last 4 1/2 years to that of some thing new. A time again to rejuvinate my strength and start my fight to re-establish my place in this new company. Well on one hand i am sure of myself that my inner strength and will, will drive me to establish my self. But deep down some where there is a feeling that if i could have managed the current system for some more time then i could have moved up in a well established place. But then I could not compromise on my self respect and dignity.

But then new place and new environment excites me. It does gives me the energy to fight. For me it has always been the time factor. I am patiently gonna wait and fight to prove my self, rest all time will say.... Good Luck Sid!!

Anger -- Health, wealth & Dignity!!!

As a child, I was always told that Anger is not good for health. During my management classes I was told to manage my anger. But, today I learnt how anger can not only be bad to health, as well as to wealth and dignity…

There was this lady in my office, who had given some of her clothes (Blanket & Towel) to be dry cleaned. The way these dry cleaners deal with others things, they happened to spoil the towel. On being caught and questioned, they also added that they could bleach it clean white. Being an expensive towel, the lady argued. The argument got hated up with the broken English manager in between. When the lady found that the dry-cleaners are not going to give her money or apologize, she happens to pick an iron rod and went whack on the glass pane. The glass pane came shattering down…

When she came back to the office, there was an government official to receive her, who politely requested her to come to the police station as the owner of the dry-cleaning agency has filed a case. Poor lady, all this happened for what.. a 800 buck towel!!!

So lesson learnt.. control your anger or else loose your health, wealth & dignity…..

Doll or Baby!!!

Happen to be at pantaloons couple of weeks back with my 4 month old Son (Rishab) and my wife. I had put Rishab in the Kangaroo bag and was roaming in the shop floor. Rishab was facing outside and not towards me while being seated in the bag, comfortably. We both were enjoying the bring colours, when one of the shops guys got into a funny conversation with me:

Sales Guy : Sir, Is that a baby
Me : Yes, It is my son, why do you ask me this??
Sales Guy : Sir, I thought it was a doll
Me : WHAT!!! Have you gone crazy... More so what made you think I would be carrying a doll… $#%&@

I felt furious at that point of time... but, later looked at my son and was thinking, was that a mockery or a complement.

Thai Chir...

My my... today, seems to be the most painful day after a long time... Was at the training center at Trivandrum and I heard that there is a new activity that is going to happen, called Taichi. When I heard it, I realized it was only the normal breathing exercise which I realized later how wrong I was. Yeah yeah, it is a breathing excercise, which also helps you maintian your physical fitness. For close to 40 mins I was in the rythym of tearing my legs apart and trying to balance my body. At the same time doing the breathing control. So many a times, either i forgot did I inhale or exhale. Which leg should go behind or to which direction do I do the twist... My my, after sometime I thought if this did not stop then I would faint and six people may have to carry me (Thanks to my huge structure!!!).

But, yeah when being done in the group, I could feel the lovely energy around me that helped me continue with the process. Ofcourse, how can I forget the great "Tanya" who made me do it and "Balaji/Teena" to ensure that I was there to do "Thai Chir" sorry Taichi....
